Cluster Audiovisual Galego

The CLAG took part in the Render project, which created a complete feasibility study for developing and implementing a viable and sustainable remote rendering model for the animation industry. It should bring together technologies, system architectures, research, development and production capabilities, as well as all relevant infrastructures. It aims to provide any 3D animation studio with a means of increasing its rendering capacity according to its needs.

A Remote Rendering services that will combine:

  • 1. An important technological innovation in the product-service.
  • 2. A business model that will ensure it is feasible and sustainable, both from a competitiveness and from an energy efficiency perspective, as well as providing the industry with all the valules it needs.
  • 3. The guarantee of systems interoperability between all agents involved in the process.
  • 4. An User-Centric approach.

The rendering of a 3D animation feature film is a strategic and very costly part of the production process. It is often a key element for the competitiveness and development of companies in this sector, as well as being a key factor in the finished product. With high levels of competition in the industry and increased client demands, there is a rising need for investment and for the efficient management of resources.

The current economic situation, the growing need for the efficient and sustainable use of resources, as well as the important role SMBs play in the industry make Render a priority within the global strategy for developing R&D&I as a key tool in the competitive and economic development of the animation sector.
